Ele estava perto do bosque de onde aquele animal surgira tão velozmente e colocou a mão na adaga quando o tigre sem nada suspeitar atirou-se contra Ronaldo que lutou bravamente e concomitantemente cravou a arma no animal que experimentou fugir mas caiu estendido no chão. Ele continuou no caminho até chegar ao cume da colina e mirar seus olhos no vale verdejante e longin-quamente uma favela. Logo aproximou-se de lá com grande familiaridade com o trajeto pois ali morava Inácio Ferraz que estava sentado na varanda daquela morada com um cigarro na boca acontecendo a ver um vulto de Ronaldo Siqueira
